The Knight Agency <--They are having a submission contest.

These guys are legit. I did some research through a link I found on Writer Beware.

Here's a brief run down of the contest. (Official rules can be found on the companies website.)

Here’s a chance to have your project reviewed by one of the agents at The Knight Agency. Submit three compelling sentences (150 words max) about your completed, unpublished manuscript to submissions @ knightagency.net (delete spaces). Write BOOK IN A NUTSHELL in the subject line or it will not be deemed eligible. One submission per project, please. Twenty of the best submissions will be chosen and requested by various agents who will then give feedback on your work...and it may even lead to possible representation. Hurry, the deadline is April 20, 2009.

So hurry. I know it's a bit rushed, but I just found out about it myself. Though I won't be entering. I need a finished novel first. ;)

This is a ficlet I just wrote. I'm not sure if I'll do anything with it. I've only run spell check, so it's kinda rough. I just couldn't get the idea of Dru meeting the Joker out of my head. So, here it is. Maybe now, this plot bunny will leave me alone.

But only for a month. HarperCollins has put up another book by Neil Gaiman. Again, it will only be online for a month. This time its Neverwhere. Awesome, awesome book. Anyone who hasn't read this book should.

A person sent in an email to Neil Gaiman, and after reading it, I thought this woman's writing method sounded very similar to how most of us write fan fic. I personally think it's a flawd method, the one we use. (write a chapter, edit, update, repeat until fic is done.)

This is why I'm moving away from this method. I feel I need to, because this current method just doesn't seem to work very well for me.

Now you guys can disagree with me all you want. But if this current form of fan fic writing is giving you fits the way it is me, then I think you'll like what he as to say. If not, feel free to ignore this post. :)

I left out the part about her mentioning writing in a language that is not her first. Besides the fact that none of us are doing that, he only mentioned being in awe of anyone trying to do that.
