Entitlement Issues

So, 30 Seconds to Mars and Linkin Park live streamed their Hollywood Bowl concert tonight on VyRT.

VyRT is a live streaming, social media site. You chat with people all over the world, and watch events at the same time. You have to pay. There are no ads. This isn't like Yahoo! Screens, or Google Hangout.

It's also still in beta testing. Basically, this shit ain't free.

Everything was fine, and then just before 30 Seconds to Mars went on, the site shut down. It was hacked. Some entitled jackass wanted to pirate the live stream.

Mars delayed the show for about twenty minutes, but had to get LiveStream, (a different company), to help out.

Their set was cut short due to the fact that Linkin Park went on after, and there is a curfew at that venue.

After the show, which ran great once the problem was patched, Jared Leto, (he of the Oscar winning), got back on VyRT for a short performance at 1:30 am LA time.

He did not have to do this. VyRT and Mars went above and beyond tonight. He apologized multiple times when he didn't have to. This was not their fault. They are even rebroadcasting the show tomorrow.

And if anybody bitches about VyRT or Mars, then they can get the fuck out.

Art isn't free.
